The zippered outer cover of the Basic™ Bed is a sturdy recycled cotton/recycled polyester canvas, finished with a handsome black nylon trim. The outer cover surrounds a zippered cotton/poly liner filled with SmartFill®, Big Shrimpy's 100% recycled fiber. The outer cover, inner liner, and SmartFill can all be machine washed and dried.
Even better, you can purchase replacement outer covers when needed, instead of discarding the entire bed. Plus, Big Shrimpy backs up the bed with a limited 2-year warranty.

The bed is filled with SmartFill®, a polyester fiber that is recycled without reprocessing, so less energy is used than making virgin fiber or fiber from plastic bottles.
The outer cover, inner liner, and SmartFill can all be machine washed and dried, and all components of the bed are replaceable. This minimizes the number of dog beds that end up in landfills.
Big Shrimpy offers a Full Circle™ Recycling program, whereby they recycle the fabrics and SmartFill from worn bed components back into a reusable fiber. Customers can send any Big Shrimpy beds or bed parts back to Big Shrimpy for recycling.
